HAVAN is an association of knowledgeable, trusted, resourceful and local professionals who build over 65% of Metro Vancouver’s homes.
Recognized as leaders in the homebuilding industry since 1974, HAVAN (Homebuilders Association Vancouver) is over eleven hundred members strong, which includes builders, developers, renovators, designers, suppliers, sub-trades and leading professionals.
Dedicated to promoting the professionalism of the residential construction industry, HAVAN is the go-to source for education programming with topics ranging from BC Energy Step Code and Passive House Canada principles, to high-performance homes and business management skills. Delivered via live seminars, webinars, and on-demand sessions, HAVAN’s courses are approved by BC Housing as part of its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, and its mandatory Energy Step Code training modules.
In addition to industry education, HAVAN provides consumer education, and actively liaises with local municipal governments with the focus of meeting Metro Vancouver’s housing needs. A not-for-profit association, HAVAN is proudly affiliated with both the provincial CHBA BC, and national CHBA offices.

- If you are new to the eLearn site, create a new account, or when you are at Checkout, complete the fields to ‘Create a New Account’ before payment.
- To browse courses, either use the drop-down menu on the left side to search by category, or click on “All Courses” on the main navigation bar at the top of the page to see full course library.
- To enroll, select the Non-Member Price, then create a new account or login to existing account. On the ‘Complete your purchase’ page, select ‘HAVE A COUPON?’ and enter your warranty promo code before you purchase the course. You have 90 days to complete the course(s) before it expires.
